Padenghe Mayor Allegri Leads Intermunicipal Urban Police Services Committee

Giancarlo Allegri, mayor of the Comune di Padenghe, has been appointed President of the Management Committee for Intermunicipal Urban Police Services.

Objectives and Implementation of the Agreement

The “security” issue requires innovative solutions aimed at providing coordinated, efficient, and streamlined territorial control services from an organizational perspective.

For this reason, two months ago, the municipalities of Sirmione, Padenghe, and Pozzolengo signed an agreement, and on May 30th, the mayor of the Comune di Padenghe, Giancarlo Allegri, was appointed President of the Management Committee for Intermunicipal Urban Police Services.

The officer responsible for the agreement is Dr. Carlo Caromani. The primary goal of the agreement is to ensure a greater presence of municipal police officers in the territories of the three municipalities, particularly during nighttime hours.

Results and Projects

Thanks to the agreement, patrols can be formed with officers from all three municipalities, enabling a significantly more precise and effective territorial monitoring.

The first effects were immediate: an increased presence of municipal police officers on public holidays has been observed, and controls against illegal immigrants have been intensified.

Regarding security, funding has been requested from the Regione Lombardia for the installation of cameras, which are already operational in the Comune di Sirmione. With the support of the Region, additional cameras will be installed in the municipalities of Padenghe and Pozzolengo.

The agreement has also facilitated the standardization of many bureaucratic procedures, particularly those related to ordinances, bringing clear economic benefits and organizational efficiency. In other words, more resources for citizen services.

Context and Importance of Collaboration

It is important to highlight that this agreement is not an isolated initiative but is part of a broader framework of collaboration among the three municipalities, whose administrators are firmly convinced that only through a coordinated approach to administrative activities and the management of services in an associated form can real advantages be offered to citizens.
