Pagine del Garda Book Fair Highlights Local Publishing and Events
The book exhibition «Pagine del Garda» will open its doors this afternoon at the Casinò. Organized by the cultural magazine «Il Sommolago», the event will remain open until Sunday, December 2nd.
With over a thousand volumes on display, it is the most important in the Benacus area and Trentino. Numerous accompanying events are scheduled. The opening today at 2:30 PM will be highlighted by the presentation of the volume «L’invasione francese del Trentino nel 1703» by the Archbishop of Trento, Mons. Luigi Bressan.
The prelate himself, together with Professor Mauro Grazioli, will illustrate the contents of his new historical research. Tomorrow at 5:00 PM, another new publication will be featured: «Flavio Faganello e il Basso Sarca», with a catalog curated by Professor Romano Turrini.
In conjunction, the call for entries for the «Aldo Gorfer» journalism award will be announced. Next Thursday at 5:00 PM, Professors Giorgio Penzo and Graziano Riccadonna will present the proceedings of the conference on «Nietzsche’s Relevance and Irrelevance».
Weekend Events
Saturday, December 1st, at 4:00 PM, «Il lago di Garda» curated by Ugo Sauro, Carlo Simoni, Eugenio Turri, Gian Maria Varanini, with presentations by Gino Tomasi and Franco de Battaglia. The final lecture will be on Sunday, December 2nd, at 4:00 PM, on the theme «My Father Sigmund Freud» by Martin Freud, translated by Francesco Marchioro.
Speakers will include Luciano Bonuzzi and Francesco Marchioro, with an interlude by pianist Adrianna Montanari. The exhibition is open on Saturdays and Sundays from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM and 2:30 PM to 7:00 PM, and from Monday to Friday from 9:30 AM to 12:00 PM and 2:00 PM to 7:00 PM.
