A new service for the issuance and renewal of passports has been launched at the Polis post offices in the province of Brescia, made possible through a collaboration between Poste Italiane, the Ministry of the Interior, and the Ministry of Enterprises and Made in Italy. The initiative was presented today at the post office in Bagnolo Mella, in the presence of Daniele Barbieri, the Head of the Passport Division of the Brescia Police Headquarters, and Mayor Stefano Godizzi. In total, 189 post offices in municipalities with fewer than 15,000 residents offer this service in the province, contributing to a regional total of over 630 active offices in Lombardy. To obtain the issuance or renewal of a passport, citizens will need to present a valid identity document, their tax code, and two photographs, as well as pay the relevant fees. Thanks to the technology available at the authorized post offices, it will also be possible to collect the biometric data necessary for the procedure. The new passport can be delivered directly to the home by Poste Italiane, a method particularly appreciated by residents of small towns. With this initiative, Poste Italiane reaffirms its commitment to the digitization of public services in the area. Italian Version
