A large maritime pine has collapsed in the garden of a house in Desenzano, along Via Comboni in Rivoltella, around 8 AM today, Monday, March 31. Fortunately, no injuries have been reported, but the incident has raised concerns about the safety of nearby homes. The tree, which was located in a small green area between the road and a parking lot for residents, damaged part of the external railing of a house, while the risk of it falling onto the roadway was significant given the presence of numerous passersby and residents.
Technicians and firefighters who responded to the scene determined that the collapse was caused by the gradual weakening of the pine’s roots, which appeared to be decayed. Local authorities are assessing the necessary measures to ensure safety in the area and to prevent similar incidents in the future.
