Polpenazze Night Soccer Tournament Kicks Off with Strong Crowd and Exciting Matches

Excellent start for the Polpenazze Night Soccer Tournament: a large crowd, good gameplay in all matches—something not always expected in the preliminary phase—and weather that initially seemed harsh but limited itself to a few minutes of rain, just enough to soften the playing surface.

In the opening match, valid for Group One, a clear victory by five to one for New-Gpr Verniciatura – F.lli Benzoni – Serram. Alluminio S.zeno – Salgari Tour over Cottali Maniglierie Barghe. Following that, again for the same group, the champions in defense, L’Immobliare Castelcovati, resumed as they had finished, with a two-nil victory over Industrie Casotti spa Brescia – Prevalle – Sabbio Chiese.

Results and matches of the tournament

The third match between Mori 2A Nuvolento – Bar Riki Rezzato and F.i.S. Pulitura Metalli – Autotrasporti Savallese – Cantine Marsadri was very competitive, ending in a fair three to three draw.

After an exciting show, the last match—also part of Group Two—was about to end with the same score. However, right at the final whistle, Maurigi Printing – Fashion Caffè Lumezzane managed to score the winning goal against Serram. The tournament will continue regularly every Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday, with matches starting at 8:50 PM. This preliminary phase will conclude on Thursday, July 5th; by then, half of the teams will be eliminated, while the remaining will advance to the knockout stage.

Events and presentations

Throughout the tournament, numerous events are scheduled, such as the third edition of the Chicco Nova Memorial between the boys of Sister Paola and the Old Glory of Brescia. For this edition, the National D.J. will also be present.

During the last week, a four-team youth tournament will also take place. Lastly, but not least, in the presence of journalists, technical-sports staff, and all players, there will be the official presentation of A.C. Lumezzane, the club that has been sponsoring this event for years.
