Porto S. Nicolò Docking Fees Slightly Increase; Renovation Planned

A minor upward adjustment, mainly determined by increases in ISTAT data. The new tariffs for the docking space at Porto S. Nicolò in Riva have remained largely unchanged compared to those of 1999. The 2000 forecast budget reports negligible increases, around 2 to 3%, meaning a daily increase from 18,500 lire to 19,000, with a maximum of 20,000 lire more for larger and heavier boats. Conversely, a proposal has been put forward to offer a 7 percent discount for residents.

Renovation of Porto S. Nicolò

The Porto S. Nicolò area will undergo an overall renovation that includes the information zone and the small park. The project — explains budget councilor Nino Torboli — is still in the planning stage. However, our intention is to complete this work by next summer.

This involves reorganizing the entire port area to improve its aesthetic appeal and functionality. The design study has been entrusted to Lido spa, which will outline the methods and schedule in the coming months.
