Public lighting in Desenzano: safety at the port and sensitive areas
The municipal administration of Desenzano del Garda has announced an important project for the upgrading of public lighting, with a total investment of approximately 220,000 euros aimed at improving security in the port and other sensitive areas of the city. The work, set to begin in the spring of 2026, will include the installation of new streetlights and spotlights, with particular attention to the Desenzano port where all docks will be illuminated to ensure greater visibility for law enforcement.
In addition to the redevelopment of the port, other strategic locations have been identified, such as the park on Via Curtatone and the parking lot on Via Padre Annibale di Francia, which will also benefit from new lighting. The Councillor for Public Works, Giovanni Maiolo, emphasized the importance of these initiatives as a response to citizens’ reports and as a measure to deter illicit activities in the affected areas.
