A weekend of disruptions awaits users of the railway network between Verona and Brescia, due to infrastructure enhancement works necessary for the construction of the new high-speed/standard line. The suspension of train services will begin today, Saturday, November 16, at 2:00 AM, and will continue until 4:00 AM on Sunday, November 18. This disruption will recur the following weekend, from December 7 to 9. During this period, stops for Frecciarossa trains in Vicenza, Verona Porta Nuova, Peschiera del Garda, Desenzano, and Brescia will be canceled, and regional trains will also face cancellations.
To ensure mobility for users despite the disruption, a bus service will be established every 10 minutes along the same route. The works will start in Mazzano, where a new junction will be created to separate the high-speed line from the conventional Milan – Venice line. This intervention will facilitate the supply of materials needed for the new section. In addition to the scheduled works for the activation of the Mazzano junction, further interventions will take place in the area of Sommacampagna. More details regarding the circulation measures can be found on the official channels of Rete Ferroviaria Italiana.
