Rebirth of the school library: new cultural hub in Desenzano del Garda

The school library of the “Bazoli-Polo” institute in Desenzano del Garda is preparing to reopen its doors after years of inactivity, transforming into a new cultural hub for the community. The inauguration is scheduled for Saturday, December 13, 2025, at 11:15 AM at the location on Via Giotto 55. This event marks the culmination of a restoration project that has involved a meticulous review and cataloging of the library’s collection, uncovering over 8,200 titles and creating a modern, multifunctional space dedicated not only to students but also to local residents. The new library will not merely serve as an internal resource for the institute but aims to be an open hub for all, thanks to collaborations with other schools and local associations. The Headmaster, Professor Stefania Battaglia, emphasized the civic importance of the initiative, highlighting how this space represents an opportunity for gathering and socialization for the entire city. With areas dedicated to fiction, local history, and resources for teachers, the library aspires to become a driving force for new cultural initiatives in the area. Italian Version
