Redevelopment of the former Casino in Gardone Riviera: the restaurant of Iginio Massari

An ambitious project for the redevelopment of the former Casino in Gardone Riviera has been presented by the Massari family, with the aim of transforming the property into a high-end restaurant. Iginio Massari, the renowned Italian pastry chef, is preparing to transition from high pastry to fine dining, promising a unique gastronomic experience aimed at attracting tourists from around the globe. The project was unveiled in the Wimmer Hall and includes a complete renovation of the interiors while preserving the building’s Art Nouveau façade. The opening of the first part of the restaurant is expected by Easter 2026, and the municipality has already initiated restoration work. Mayor Adelio Zeni has welcomed this initiative, highlighting how it fits into a broader plan for enhancing the area, which also includes the restoration of the Grand Hotel Gardone. The project features event halls and panoramic terraces overlooking the lake, along with dedicated spaces for Massari’s pastry shop and a bar to serve the surrounding public beach. With over a thousand square meters to be revitalized, this endeavor represents a significant step towards a new tourist and cultural vision for Gardone Riviera. Italian Version
