Regional Initiative Supports Vulnerable Groups with Community Collaboration

Start of the Agreement and Participants

On the beginning of June 1996, a convention was held at the hall of the Casa Sociale in Cornuda to sign a project supporting the most vulnerable social groups. Some representatives of local political and social forces participated in the initiative, including the mayor, representatives of neighborhood associations, and various volunteer organizations.

Objectives and Funding

The project, which will last two years, aims primarily to improve the living conditions of seniors and disabled residents within the municipality. The total amount allocated for the initiative amounts to about one hundred thousand euros, financed through regional and community funds.

Activities and Expected Goals

The activities include home assistance services, psychological support, training and socialization courses for the categories most in need. Additionally, social transport, listening centers, and gathering places will be enhanced.
