Remedello Institute Wins Garda DOP Oil Award in Brescia

The fifth edition of the interregional Garda DOP Oil Competition was held in 2026 at CAST in Brescia, featuring seven culinary schools competing to create dishes centered around Garda DOP olive oil. The event was organized by the Garda DOP Oil Consortium in collaboration with CAST, the Italian Institute of Culinary Arts, the Brescia Chefs Association, and Italia a Tavola, with a panel of judges including prominent chefs and industry experts.

The winning entry was “Tortelli with Gottolengo potato and its creamy Garda DOP oil,” prepared by students from AFGP Centro Bonsignori of Remedello. Second place went to Fondation ENAC Lombardia CFP Canossa with “Garda-style lacustrine white fish in Garda DOP oil,” and third to Casa del Giovane Don Mario Bottoglia in Castiglione delle Stiviere with “Re DOP.” Winners received scholarships ranging from €6,000 to €14,000 and monetary prizes from the consortium.
