Reopening of the Archducal Park of Arco: a long-awaited restoration
Arco, after more than two years of waiting, will reopen the Arciducale Park to the public on Saturday, June 28. The summer opening hours will remain unchanged, with access allowed every day from 8 AM to 8 PM. The park, which is the last remnant of the ancient garden created by Archduke Albert of Habsburg in the 19th century, spans an area of two hectares and hosts around 200 different species of trees and shrubs. The reopening follows a significant restoration and enhancement of the botanical and architectural heritage, funded by the Pnrr.
Renovation work began in April 2023 but faced delays due to issues with the contracted company. Despite the challenges encountered during the process, everything is now ready for the official reopening of the park, which will also feature an inaugural event during the summer.
