Riva Hockey Club’s Maria Torbol Called Up for Indian Tournament with National Team

Maria Torbol, a 21-year-old athlete from Arco and member of Hockey Club Riva, has been selected for Italy’s national team to compete in the upcoming international tournament in India. Italy has been placed in Pool A alongside Austria, England, and South Korea, with the tournament scheduled soon.

In January, Torbol and teammate Micaela Frais participated in the European Indoor Championship, where Italy finished second behind Turkey, securing a spot in the Euro Hockey Indoor Championship. Additionally, HC Riva’s men’s team earned promotion to Elite Indoor, and the women’s team finished fourth at the Bologna Final-Four. Local officials from Arco and Riva del Garda congratulated Torbol and her team.
