Riva Launches Volunteer E-Bikes to Boost Security and Surveillance

Two e-bikes were introduced for volunteer police support in Riva on March 3rd, during a municipal event. Presented by the local volunteer association, the bikes are part of an agreement signed last September, which assigns volunteers to assist with security along the lakefront, support school crossings, and report potential hazards to authorities.

Mayor Alessio Zanoni thanked the association members for their contribution, emphasizing that their role is supportive and observational, not substitutive of official duties. The new bikes, marked with the association’s and municipality’s logos, aim to enhance mobility and efficiency in patrolling areas and assisting in community safety initiatives.
