A tragic road accident has struck the community of Desenzano, resulting in the death of 16-year-old Matteo Tobanelli. The incident occurred on Thursday morning on the SP25, near Barcuzzi di Lonato, while the young man was riding his Yamaha R125 motorcycle. After losing control during an overtaking maneuver, he was thrown six meters upon colliding with another vehicle. Despite the rescuers’ attempts at resuscitation, Matteo passed away shortly after arriving at the hospital.
The family has made the heartfelt decision to consent to organ donation, a gesture that represents the boy’s final act of love. Today, his funeral will take place at 4:30 PM at the Abbey of Maguzzano, where friends and classmates from the Bagatta High School will gather to remember him and honor his memory. Matteo was known for his generosity and zest for life, leaving an irreplaceable void among those who loved him.
