This morning, Sunday, August 17, around 10:15 AM, an incident of violence occurred involving a traffic warden in Toscolano Maderno. The officer was performing her duty of regulating traffic when she signaled a stop to an 81-year-old pedestrian, a resident of Gargnano, who was about to cross the road at the pedestrian crossing in Piazza San Marco. Instead of stopping, the elderly man reacted aggressively, striking the warden in the face with his hand, causing her bruises and a neck sprain.
Following the incident, the warden was transported by ambulance to the hospital in Gavardo for necessary treatment; medical personnel established a prognosis of ten days. The Carabinieri, who intervened at the scene, reported the assailant for violence against a public official, injuries, and insult.
