Sabrina Schillaci, a coach and writer, will be the featured speaker at an event in Desenzano del Garda on Friday, February 28th at 6:00 PM, at Villa Brunati, to present her book “I Wanted to Be a Superhero, but the Wonder Woman Costume Was Sold Out.” During the event, the discussion will focus on sports and rebirth, exploring themes such as disability and the challenges faced by caregivers. Sabrina’s autobiographical account highlights how sports helped her overcome difficult moments following an accident that changed the lives of both her and her husband Davide.
In 2007, Davide became quadriplegic after a diving accident in the lake. From that point on, Sabrina embarked on a journey that led her to start practicing triathlon in 2014 and to become a professional coach in 2017. Through her personal experience, she founded “Race Across Limits Odv,” an association dedicated to caregivers. Her second book promises to inspire anyone facing difficulties in life, demonstrating how it is possible to rediscover one’s potential through sports. Admission to the event is free and will be moderated by Francesca Gardenato.
