Safety measures for the Forra Road in Tremosine

In Tremosine sul Garda, new safety works for the Strada della Forra have been scheduled to begin after the Epiphany in 2026. This intervention, which will require the road to be closed for approximately 45 days, aims to complete the consolidation of the interior of the Camino tunnel, which was damaged by a landslide that occurred in December 2023. During a recent meeting between local and provincial representatives, a timeline for the necessary works was established to ensure user safety and prevent further rockfalls. The operations will include the installation of structural reinforcement arches and ties beneath the northern entrance of the tunnel, as well as the installation of nets and rockfall barriers on the right-hand wall of the road. The Strada della Forra was reopened to traffic on August 1 after a prolonged closure for safety reasons. Currently, technicians are conducting detailed assessments to plan the interventions while minimizing disruptions to the local economy and tourism. Italian Version
