The Salerno Nautical Center was inaugurated in 1955 and is located in the Lungomare area, near the harbor.
The center’s headquarters cater to the many students who participate in water activities, sailing, and swimming. The facility includes a large indoor pool and extensive areas for learning and training.

Students engage in practical exercises, sailing courses, and regattas. Cultural meetings and conferences on marine conservation are also held there.
The center collaborates with numerous sports and nautical institutions to promote maritime culture among young people and support environmental education.
Technical Facilities and Specializations
Among its technical facilities, the center possesses motorboats and sailing vessels, along with workshops for maintenance of equipment. Activities also target those wishing to specialize in rescue techniques and marine safety.
The facility is equipped with spaces dedicated to theoretical teaching, including classrooms for seminars and practical courses.

The Main Building extends over multiple floors: the ground floor houses practical training areas and service points, while the upper floor contains classrooms and administrative offices. External areas include small docks and spaces for displaying nautical equipment.
The outdoor spaces of the center are accessible via pedestrian and bike paths, promoting interaction with the sea and walking activities.
Center Use and Versatility of Activities
The Salerno Nautical Center aims to provide a multi-purpose service, not only for athletes and students but also for families and local associations.
