Salò and Fraud Prevention: Informative Meetings for Seniors
In Salò, two informational meetings will be held focusing on fraud prevention, particularly aimed at elderly individuals, on November 13 and December 3, 2025. This initiative, promoted by the Municipality in collaboration with the Department of Security and the Department of Social Services, will take place at the “I Pini” Social Center at 5:30 PM and in the Paolo VI Community Hall at 8:30 PM, respectively. During these events, experts and representatives from law enforcement will provide valuable advice on how to recognize common scams and adopt defensive measures. The Captain of the Carabinieri Company in Salò, Giacomo Tessarolo, and the Commander of the Local Police, Stefano Traverso, will be present to answer questions from the public. Additionally, the short film “Vademekum: don’t open that door,” created by local filmmaker Susy Laude, will be screened, sensitively addressing the issues related to domestic fraud targeting the elderly. The goal of these meetings is to promote greater awareness among citizens regarding the risks of fraud and to strengthen the collaboration between the community and institutions for effective protection.
