Salò and Violence Against Women: Cultural Awareness Review
From November 22 to 29, **Salò** will host the cultural event “I Thought It Was Love,” an initiative dedicated to **violence against women** in observance of the International Day for the Elimination of Violence. The events will include meetings, testimonies, music, and exhibitions, aiming to promote awareness and prevention. Councillor Marcella Merigo emphasized that this initiative is the result of a collaboration between the Administration, the Equal Opportunities Commission, and various local associations. The program will kick off on Tuesday, November 25, with the conference “Beyond Silence,” featuring contributions from sector experts and a mother of a femicide victim. On Thursday, November 27, there will be a meeting titled “What Do You Want It to Be,” while on Saturday, November 29, there will be a presentation on violence prevention led by criminologist Martina Radice. Additionally, a photographic exhibition titled “Bruises” will be inaugurated, along with a self-defense workshop organized by the Garda Karate Team. Italian Version
