Salò Center on RSI Develops Toward New Foundation Headquarters

Housed at the prestigious Palazzo Fantoni, Salone del Caminetto, the Centro Studi sulla Repubblica Sociale Italiana has been active from its inception through the end of the six hundred days. However, it remains a temporary location, as the definitive headquarters of the Center, which is set to become a Foundation, will be the building of the «Enrico Fermi» high school, which is already preparing to move into the new residence.

The Center’s development project has been in progress for several years, driven by the Comune di Salò, the Provincia, and the Regione Lombardia, who have already allocated 250 million euros. The «cultural foundation» of the Center is composed of the Fondo Duilio Susmel and the Fondo Rodolfo Graziani.

Duilio Susmel, a journalist for «Il Tempo», was a historian of the RSI. The most renowned Marshal of Italy and Viceroy of Ethiopia, Rodolfo Graziani, served as Minister of Defense during the RSI.

The Fondo Graziani has already been acquired by Regione Lombardia and is cataloged.
