Until Sunday, April 13, the town of Salò is hosting an exhibition dedicated to Alcide De Gasperi, a pivotal figure in Italian culture and a founding father of both the Republic and the European Union. The exhibition, titled “Alcide De Gasperi and Politics as Service,” curated by Paolo Valvo and the De Gasperi Foundation, is taking place in the Sala dei Provveditori of the Municipality. It offers an important opportunity to explore the thoughts of a statesman who played a crucial role in Italy’s post-war reconstruction. The exhibition is divided into five thematic sections that highlight the moral and political principles that guided De Gasperi, making him a remarkably relevant figure today.
The showcase has already attracted the attention of numerous local schools, with hundreds of students scheduled for guided tours. Opening hours are from Monday to Friday, 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM, while on Saturday and Sunday, visitors can attend from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM and 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM. The exhibition not only provides an opportunity to delve into Italian history but also serves as an invitation to reflect on the fundamental democratic values that continue to inspire new generations.
