Salò Shuts Down Ewa Distributors Following Anti-Mafia Ban

Salò authorities have seized two Ewa-branded fuel stations in Piazza S. Bernardino and Via Pietro da Salò following an anti-mafia order issued today. The operation involved local police and Guardia di Finanza after the immediate revocation of permits and a ban on continued activity, resulting in the temporary closure of both sites.

The measure follows the final ruling of the Council of State confirming the interdiction imposed by the Milan Prefecture on the station’s owner company. The stations were under investigation for selling adulterated fuel mixed with water, which damages vehicles. The municipal government states the action aims to protect consumers and workers and uphold legality.
