San Felice Library Hosts Creative Writing Course Inspired by Renowned Authors
The San Felice library is currently hosting a creative writing course, attended by people of all ages and professions, united by a strong motivation stemming from their love for reading and writing.
Methodology and Reference Authors
It is precisely the reading of authors such as Buzzati, Baricco, Castaneda, and Sgorlon that illustrates various writing techniques. The students are invited to challenge themselves through exercises guided by the instructor, Prof. Franco Gaudiano.
Publications and Course Structure
He is responsible for the drafting of the «Manual of Creative Writing» (1993, Editrice Nord), revised and expanded in 2000 by Zanichelli. The course consists of ten lessons and covers various topics: the spark of the writer, from idea to plot, character development, character conflict, dialogues, style, structure, and editing.
Practical Activities and Objectives
During the course, students are guided in the composition of a fully developed story, which in the last two sessions will be shared with the instructor and peers for discussion and review.
Conclusion and Goals
The library has enthusiastically organized this initiative to demonstrate pathways for a creative use of language and words, with the possibility of imagining and modifying real-life situations.
