San Giovanni Bosco Celebrations Focus on Youth and Community

For the third consecutive year, three days of celebration and reflection on San Giovanni Bosco are organized from Friday to Sunday, January 30, under the theme “Youth for Youth,” by the Salesians and former students present in significant numbers in the Gardesano hinterland.

Program of Events

The program begins on Friday at 8:30 PM at Villa Elena Da Persico with an evening titled “Young People Tell Their Stories, Between Reality and Dreams,” hosted by Roberto Lorenzini. During this evening, various youth groups from the Gardesano hinterland will present themselves to the audience with songs, sketches, games, breaks from internet browsing, and performances by some musical groups (Barabba’s Clowns Omg, Group singing Albarè).

The evening will conclude with a buffet.

On Sunday at 8:30 PM, also at Villa Elena Da Persico, there will be a musical recital titled “Come On, Folks,” in which the young people of the Parish of Affi interpret the extraordinary adventure of Saint Francis of Assisi.

Religious Moment and Inauguration

Followed by a buffet. Finally, at 10:30 AM in the parish church of Affi, there will be a solemn mass presided over by Don Adriano Bregolin, the Salesian inspector. The celebration will be animated by the youth groups and include the Promise to become a Salesian cooperator.

During this occasion, attendees will receive an image of the monument to Don Bosco.

At 11:30 AM, the inauguration of the new parish oratory named after Don Bosco will take place, along with a procession with the youth to the Don Bosco monument on the eponymous street. The procession will be accompanied by the parish choir directed by Maestro A. Sartori.

At the end, a buffet will be set up for all participants.
