Scam Alert: Impersonators Claiming Police to Sell Fake Magazines

They impersonate Carabinieri when contacting hotel owners, shopkeepers, artisans, and restaurants in the Middle and Upper Garda regions, offering subscriptions to army-related magazines.

These are not military personnel, but scammers who, from time to time, claim to belong to finance, the police, the fire brigade, or the Municipal police.

How to recognize scams

They often propose subscriptions to non-existent magazines or those unrelated to law enforcement.

Therefore, be cautious and immediately notify the real Carabinieri — just call 112 — as soon as you suspect you have been targeted by individuals who,
