Scammers Imitate Carabinieri in Garda Area Offering Fake Magazine Subscriptions

They impersonate Carabinieri when making phone calls to hoteliers, shop owners, artisans, and restaurateurs in the Medio and Alto Garda areas, proposing subscriptions to arm-related magazines.

These are not military personnel, but scammers who, from time to time, claim to belong to finance, police, fire brigades, or the municipal police.

They often suggest subscriptions to nonexistent magazines or those unrelated to law enforcement agencies.

Therefore, be cautious and immediately notify the real Carabinieri — simply dial 112 — as soon as you suspect you’ve been targeted by individuals who,
