Scammers Impersonate Carabinieri for Fraudulent Magazine Subscriptions

They impersonate Carabinieri when calling hoteliers, shopkeepers, artisans, and restaurants in the Middle and Upper Garda area, proposing subscriptions to the army‘s magazines.

These are not members of the military, but scammers who, from time to time, claim to belong to the finance police, regular police, fire brigade, or the Municipality‘s wardens.

Recognizing scams

They often offer subscriptions to nonexistent magazines or those with no connection to law enforcement forces.
