Scammers Impersonate Carabinieri in Garda Area to Sell Fake Magazines

They pose as Carabinieri when making phone calls to hoteliers, shopkeepers, artisans, and restaurateurs in the Middle and Upper Garda areas, offering subscriptions to military-related magazines.

These are not military personnel, but scammers who, at different times, claim to belong to the finance department, police, fire brigade, or municipal police.

They often propose subscriptions to nonexistent magazines or publications that have nothing to do with law enforcement.

Therefore, be cautious and immediately notify the Carabinieri — just dial 112 — as soon as you suspect you have been targeted by individuals who,
