Scammers Impersonate Carabinieri in Garda, Offer Fake Magazine Subs

They impersonate Carabinieri when telephoning hoteliers, shop owners, artisans, and restaurants in Medio and Alto Garda, offering subscriptions to army magazines.

They are not military personnel but scammers who, from time to time, claim to belong to finance, police, fire brigade, or the Municipality police.

How to recognize scams

They often propose subscriptions to fake magazines or magazines unrelated to the law enforcement.

So, be alert and immediately notify genuine Carabinieri — simply dial 112 — as soon as you suspect you have been targeted by individuals who,
