Scammers Impersonate Carabinieri in Garda Region for Magazine Subscriptions

They impersonate Carabinieri when calling hoteliers, shopkeepers, artisans, and restaurants in the Middle and Upper Garda regions, offering subscriptions to the arma‘s magazines.

These are not genuine military personnel, but scammers who, from time to time, claim to belong to the finance department, police, fire brigade, or Municipal police.

Recognizing the scams

They often propose subscriptions to nonexistent magazines or those unrelated to the law enforcement.

Therefore, be vigilant and immediately notify the Carabinieri — just dial 112 — as soon as you suspect you have been targeted by individuals who,
