Scammers Impersonate Carabinieri in Garda to Sell Fake Magazine Subscriptions

They impersonate Carabinieri when calling hoteliers, shopkeepers, artisans, and restaurant owners in Medio and Alto Garda, offering subscriptions to magazines associated with the force.

These are not actual military personnel but scammers who, at various times, claim to belong to finance, police, fire brigade, or municipal officers.

They often propose subscriptions to nonexistent magazines or those unrelated to the law enforcement agencies.

So, be alert and immediately notify the Carabinieri — just dial 112 — as soon as you suspect you have been targeted by someone who,
