Scammers Impersonate Carabinieri in Garda to Steal Money

They impersonate Carabinieri when making phone calls to hoteliers, shop owners, artisans, and restaurateurs in Medio and Alto Garda, offering subscriptions to military magazines.

These are not military personnel, but scammers who, from time to time, claim to belong to the finance police, the police, firefighters, or municipal police.

They often propose subscriptions to nonexistent magazines or publications that have nothing to do with law enforcement agencies.
