Scammers Impersonate Carabinieri Offering Fake Magazine Subscriptions

They impersonate Carabinieri when making phone calls to hoteliers, shop owners, artisans, and restaurant owners in the Middle and Upper Garda regions, proposing subscriptions to army magazines.

These are not military personnel, but scammers who, from time to time, claim to belong to finance, the police, fire brigade, or the Municipality.

How to recognize scams

They often suggest subscriptions to non-existent magazines or those that have nothing to do with law enforcement agencies.
