Scammers Impersonate Carabinieri Offering Fake Magazine Subscriptions

They impersonate Carabinieri when calling hoteliers, shopkeepers, artisans, and restaurants in the Middle and Upper Garda area, offering subscriptions to arma magazines.

They are not members of the military, but scammers who, from time to time, claim to belong to the finance police, police, fire brigade, or municipal Vigili.

How to recognize the scams

They often propose subscriptions to nonexistent magazines or those unrelated to law enforcement forces.
