Scammers Impersonate Carabinieri Offering Fake Magazine Subscriptions

They pretend to be Carabinieri when making phone calls to hoteliers, shop owners, artisans, and restaurants in Middle and Upper Garda, offering subscriptions to army magazines.

These are not military personnel, but scammers who, from time to time, claim to belong to finance, police, fire brigade, or the Comune police.

How to recognize scams

They often propose subscriptions to nonexistent magazines or magazines that have nothing to do with law enforcement forces.
