Scammers Impersonate Carabinieri Offering Fake Magazine Subscriptions

They impersonate Carabinieri when making phone calls to hoteliers, shop owners, artisans, and restaurant owners in Medio e Alto Garda, offering subscriptions to magazines of the force.

These are not military personnel, but scammers who, from time to time, claim to belong to the finance police, police, fire brigade, or municipal officers.

How to recognize scams and how to react

They often offer subscriptions to non-existent magazines or magazines that have nothing to do with law enforcement.
