They pretend to be Carabinieri when calling hoteliers, shopkeepers, artisans, and restaurants in Middle and Upper Garda, offering subscriptions to the force‘s magazines.

They are not military personnel, but scammers who, from time to time, claim to belong to finance, the police, the fire brigade, or the Municipal police.

How to recognize scams
