They impersonate Carabinieri when contacting hoteliers, shopkeepers, artisans, and restaurateurs in Medio and Alto Garda, offering subscriptions to magazines of the force.

They are not military personnel, but scammers who, each time, claim to belong to finance, police, fire brigades, or municipal officers.

They often propose subscriptions to non-existent magazines or those unrelated to law enforcement forces.
