Scammers Impersonate Carabinieri to Target Garda Businesses

They impersonate carabinieri when making phone calls to hoteliers, shop owners, artisans, and restaurateurs in the Middle and Upper Garda area, offering magazine subscriptions from the Carabinieri.

These individuals are not military personnel, but scammers who, from time to time, claim to belong to finance police, regular police, fire brigade, or urban police.

They often propose subscriptions to nonexistent magazines or magazines that have nothing to do with law enforcement agencies.
