Scammers Impersonate Carabinieri to Target Garda Region Businesses

They impersonate Carabinieri when contacting hoteliers, shopkeepers, artisans, and restaurateurs in the Medio and Alto Garda regions, offering subscriptions to military magazines.

These are not military personnel, but scammers who, from time to time, claim to belong to finance, police, firefighters, or municipal guards.

How to Recognize Scams

They often propose subscriptions to nonexistent magazines or those unrelated to law enforcement.
