Scammers Impersonate Carabinieri to Target Local Business Owners

They impersonate Carabinieri when contacting hoteliers, shopkeepers, artisans, and restaurant owners in Medio and Alto Garda, offering subscriptions to magazines of the force.

These are not military personnel, but scammers who, from time to time, claim to belong to the finance, police, fire brigade, or Municipal police.

How to recognize scams

They often propose subscriptions to non-existent magazines or magazines that have nothing to do with law enforcement forces.
