Scammers Impersonate Carabinieri to Trick Garda Region Locals

They impersonate Carabinieri when making phone calls to hoteliers, shopkeepers, artisans, and restaurateurs in the Middle and Upper Garda regions, offering subscriptions to military magazines.

They are not members of the military, but scammers who, from time to time, claim to belong to the finance police, the police, the fire brigade, or the municipal guards.

They often propose subscriptions to fake magazines or magazines that have nothing to do with law enforcement agencies.
