Scammers Impersonate Law Enforcement to Sell Fake Magazine Subscriptions

They impersonate Carabinieri when calling hotel owners, shopkeepers, artisans, and restaurants in the Medio and Alto Garda regions, offering subscriptions to the armed forces magazines.

They are not military personnel but scammers who, at different times, claim to belong to the finance police, the police, the fire brigade, or the Municipal Fire Brigade.

How to recognize scams
