Scammers Impersonate Law Enforcement to Target Garda Business Owners

They impersonate Carabinieri when calling hoteliers, shopkeepers, artisans, and restaurants in Middle and Upper Garda, proposing subscriptions to the army magazines.

These are not military personnel, but scammers who, from time to time, claim to belong to the financial police, police, fire brigade, or Municipal police.

How to recognize scams

They often propose subscriptions to false magazines or magazines that have nothing to do with law enforcement.
