Scammers Impersonate Police to Promote Fake Magazine Subscriptions

They impersonate Carabinieri when making phone calls to hoteliers, shopkeepers, artisans, and restaurants in Medio and Alto Garda, proposing subscriptions to magazines of the force.

These are not military personnel, but scammers who periodically claim to belong to the finance police, police, fire brigade, or the Municipality police.

How to recognize scams

They often suggest subscriptions to non-existent magazines or magazines that have nothing to do with the law enforcement.
