Scammers Pose as Carabinieri Offering Fake Magazine Subscriptions

They pose as Carabinieri when calling hoteliers, shop owners, craftsmen, and restaurants in the Medio and Alto Garda areas, offering subscriptions to the arma‘s magazines.

These are not military personnel, but scammers who, from time to time, claim to belong to the finance, police, fire brigade, or municipal Vigili.

How to recognize scams

They often propose subscriptions to non-existent magazines or those unrelated to the law enforcement.

Therefore, be cautious and immediately notify the genuine Carabinieri — just dial 112 — as soon as you suspect you have been targeted by someone who,
