Scammers Posing as Carabinieri Target Golf, Hospitality in Garda

They pose as Carabinieri when calling hoteliers, shop owners, artisans, and restaurants in the Middle and Upper Garda, proposing subscriptions to the military‘s magazines.

These are not military personnel, but scammers who, from time to time, claim to belong to finance, the police, the fire brigade, or the Municipal police.

Recognizing Scams

They often suggest subscriptions to nonexistent magazines or magazines that have nothing to do with the law enforcement.
